Upgrading, Downgrading, and Canceling

How to change your CoAgentor plan — what happens immediately, what happens at period end, and how to undo a cancellation or scheduled downgrade.

Upgrading and Downgrading

You can change your plan at any time from the Billing page →. Here's exactly what happens in each scenario.

Upgrading

Upgrades take effect immediately.

When you upgrade:

  1. Your new plan limits are applied instantly — you immediately gain access to the higher tier's hours, features, and connection limits
  2. A prorated charge is applied for the remainder of the current billing period — you pay the difference between your old and new plan for the days remaining
  3. From the next billing period, you're charged the full new plan rate

Example: You're on the Solo plan ($29/month) and upgrade to Pro ($99/month) halfway through the month. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the price difference over the remaining days, then the full Pro rate from your next billing date.

Downgrading to a lower paid plan

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan's full hours and features until then — there's no refund for the remaining days, and there's no proration to worry about because nothing changes today.

When you click the Downgrade button on a lower plan in Billing →, CoAgentor will ask you a quick question about why you're downgrading. This is a real human signal that helps us improve, and it's also where we may offer you a discount instead — see Retention offer below.

After you confirm, three things change:

  1. The renewal row on your subscription card switches from "Renews May 14, 2026" to "Plan changes May 14, 2026" so you can see at a glance that something is scheduled
  2. An amber notice appears at the bottom of the card: "Your plan will change to Solo on May 14, 2026. Changed your mind?" — with a one-click button to keep your current plan
  3. A new "Cancel anyway" button is available if you decide a full cancellation is what you actually want

You keep all your Pro-tier hours, agents, integrations, and features through the end of the period. On the renewal date, your subscription automatically switches to the new plan and you're charged at the lower rate from that point onward.

What if my usage exceeds the new plan's limits?

If you currently have more calendar connections, agents, or active integrations than the lower plan allows, CoAgentor will let you know which items need to be reduced. Your current usage isn't deleted automatically — you keep everything until the period ends, and you can reduce connections gradually before the downgrade lands. If anything is still over the limit when the new period starts, those items will be deactivated (not deleted) and you can reactivate them after upgrading again.

Downgrading to Free

The "Downgrade to Free" button on the Free plan card behaves like a cancellation — you keep your current paid plan through the end of the billing period, then move to Free. We'll still ask you the same quick question about why, and the retention discount may still be offered if you're cancelling because of price.

After you confirm, your subscription card shows:

  • "Access ends on May 14, 2026" instead of "Renews May 14"
  • An amber notice with a "Reactivate subscription" button so you can change your mind any time before the period ends

On the period end date, you move to the Free plan. Your agents, meeting history, contexts, and uploaded files are retained — only the limits change to match the Free plan.

Canceling your subscription

Canceling from the Billing page →Cancel subscription link works exactly like downgrading to Free. You keep your current plan through the end of the period, then move to Free. We retain all your data — only the plan limits change.

When you click Cancel, we'll ask you a quick question about why. This serves three purposes:

  1. It's a real human signal that helps us prioritize what to fix or build next
  2. If your reason is "It's too expensive," we may offer you a one-time 20% discount to stay (see below)
  3. It records the reason so that if you do leave, we can occasionally check in with relevant updates rather than generic ones

After you confirm, the same amber notice appears with a Reactivate button.

Reactivating a cancellation or scheduled downgrade

Changed your mind? You can undo a cancellation or scheduled downgrade any time before the period ends.

In your subscription card on the Billing page →, find the amber notice and click:

  • "Reactivate subscription" if you cancelled
  • "Keep current plan" if you scheduled a paid→paid downgrade (e.g. Pro→Solo)

Your subscription resumes exactly as it was — same plan, same billing interval, same renewal date. No charge today. The "Plan changes" or "Access ends" indicator disappears, the amber notice goes away, and the regular Cancel button comes back.

After the period has ended, reactivation is no longer available — at that point you've already moved to Free (or your downgraded plan), and re-subscribing means choosing a plan again from the pricing cards.

Switching between monthly and annual billing

Monthly to annual: You can switch to annual billing at any time. The annual plan is charged upfront for the full year at the discounted annual rate, with proration applied for whatever's left of your current monthly period.

Annual to monthly: Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual period. Your annual plan stays active until then, after which monthly billing begins at the standard monthly rate.

Retention offer

If you select "It's too expensive" as your reason for canceling or downgrading, CoAgentor offers a one-time 20% discount for 3 months. This offer is available once per account.

If you accept it, the discount is applied automatically to your next three invoices and your subscription continues unchanged on your current plan — no scheduled downgrade, no cancellation. You can see the discount on your subscription card as a "20% off" badge next to your plan name, and your effective monthly price updates to reflect it.

If you've previously used the retention discount on this account, we let you know it's not available again, but you can still proceed with the cancellation or downgrade.

Refund policy

CoAgentor does not offer refunds for partial periods. If you're evaluating whether CoAgentor is right for your workflow, we recommend starting with the Free plan or the monthly Solo plan before committing to annual billing.

If you experience a technical issue that significantly impacted your ability to use the service, contact support and we'll review it on a case-by-case basis.

Billing history and invoices

Your invoice history is available on the Billing page → under "Current subscription." Each invoice shows the period, the plan, and any prorated charges from upgrades or interval changes. Invoices can be downloaded as PDFs by clicking the PDF link next to each one.
